VAP 3 power

HBP High Beta
  • Heated Pitots integrate modifications to the original VAP Pitot that allow them to work in conditions where most pitots freeze or begin to function less than accurately.
  • The standard VAP3® Pitot has a unique Velocity Averaging and Parallel Plate proprietary design and, when inserted into air flow ducts, they provide an accurate, differential pressure output allowing for precise air flow measurement or control of your process.
  • Utilizes this same VAP3® Pitot technology in order to deliver an extremely accurate differential pressure output, while expanding the traditional temperature ranges handled by the original pitot.
  • Integral heating system now allows accurate air flow measurement down to -22o F!
VAP3 Pitot Installation
  • Square/Rectangular or even irregular ducts are fairly common in the Power Industry as air is continually directed and redirected to a variety of different locations.
  • When the straight upstream and downstream duct requirements are met, VAP3® Insertion Style pitots can be utilized for installation in square or rectangular ductwork.
  • If the upstream/downstream requirements are not met, then a flow conditioning unit, such as the High Beta, may be recommended.
VAP3 Pitot Installation
  • VAP3® Insertion Style pitots can be used in either round ducts or in square/rectangular ducts.
  • When used in round ducts, the insertion ports are typically beveled to fit the curved exterior of the duct wall and can be inserted into any duct smaller than 72" in diameter. For larger ducts, the XL pitot should be used.
