Refrigerant Gas Monitoring Technology

Photoacoustic Infrared stands as the forefront technology for detecting refrigerant gas. Its exclusive reliance on Photoacoustic Infrared (PIR) technology enables direct measurement of refrigerant gas concentration within mechanical rooms. To appreciate the superiority of Photoacoustic Infrared, it's essential to grasp the operational principles of each technology.

Infrared technology functions on the premise that specific gases absorb infrared light at distinct wavelengths. Through this, gas volume can be identified and quantified by measuring the absorption of infrared light. By narrowly filtering the wavelength of introduced infrared light, specific gases can be selectively targeted, mitigating interference from non-targeted gases present in the sample. Though all infrared technologies adhere to this principle, the method of measuring gas concentration may vary across different infrared systems.
