Draeger’s patented Electrochemical sensors (EC Sensors) have a three electrode technology, versus the two electrode technology that all competitor sensors use. Three electrode technology results in much better performance, much lower detection limits, much less drift, much broader temperature range, and most importantly, much longer sensor life.
Draeger electrochemical sensors last two to three times longer than all competitors’ sensors. As an example our fixed oxygen sensors have a three-year warranty and have a typical life span of seven to ten years. All Draeger electrochemical sensors are interchangeable in all transmitters, so all transmitters that take electrochemical sensors can be reconfigured by simply unplugging a sensor, and plugging in a new sensor.
