What is a fixed gas detection system?
Fixed detectors detect and alert of abnormal or dangerous levels of gas in a specific area. Equipped with sensors, they measure the concentration of one (or more) types of gas, depending on the model.
Draeger Systems
Draeger’s unique, patented electrochemical, catalytic and infrared sensors last 2-3 times longer than all other brands of sensors. The sensors have better performance specifications that all other brands – lower detection limits, less cross-interference, better accuracy and repeatability, better resistance to drift from environmental changes (flow, temperature, and humidity).
The controllers also have patented features – Hart tunneling, the functionality of a PLC without the need to do programming, and a “distributed module” capability that dramatically reduces the cost of wiring the transmitters to the controller.
