All of the industrial COSA XENTAUR™ dew point meters use our Hyper Thin-Film (HTF™) Al2O3 Moisture Sensing Technology high capacitance sensors. The Hyper-Thin-Film Technology is based on major advances in thin-film technology and metal oxide sciences. It provides measurements with a sensitivity several orders of magnitude larger than of those made with all other technologies. HTF sensors are free of drift and insensitive to temperature changes over most of their range.
Dew Point Meter – usually refers to a portable or handheld instrument designed for spot-check measurements of dew point (the temperature at which moisture in a gas begins to condense). It’s commonly used for quick checks in compressed air systems, gas lines, or process environments. For example, the XPDM Series is described as a “portable dew point meter” (i.e., handheld) designed for spot-checking dew point in various gases.
Dew Point Analyzer (Transmitter) – typically a more advanced or fixed system used for continuous monitoring, higher accuracy, or laboratory-grade analysis. Analyzers often include additional features like data logging, automatic calibration, multiple sensor inputs, and integration with process control systems. Cosa’s transmitters such as the XDT Series digital dew point transmitter, designed for continuous monitoring of air-dryer performance, dry gas moisture etc.

COSA XENTAUR™ LPDT2™ Series Low Pressure Dew Point Transmitter
An ultra-compact, and loop-powered (two-wire) instrument for measuring dew point temperature in industrial applications.
- Low pressure dew point transmitter is an ultra-compact, loop-powered device available with or without a display.
- Highly stable aluminum oxide sensor to deliver accurate, real-time dew point measurements across a wide range (-148°F to 68°F).
- Designed for industrial applications, it supports Modbus and analog outputs for cost-efficient integration.
