Draeger Polytron 8100

The Draeger Polytron 8100 EC is an advanced transmitter designed detecting toxic gases or oxygen in hazardous environments. Utilizing high-performance plug and play electrochemical DraegerSensor, it is specifically tailored for identifying particular gases. The Polytron 8100 is capable of detecting over 100 toxic gases as well as oxygen. These sensors are known for their long lifespan and for providing continuous detection even in extreme conditions. With an impressive temperature and humidity range of -40°C to +65°C (-40°F to +150°F), they are suitable for a wide variety of environments.

The Draeger Polytron 8100’s digital interfaces enable easy and rapid remote access to the transmitter’s status. Integrating with existing asset management systems such as PACTwareâ„¢ is achievable through DTM. Along with the standard HART® communication system, the Polytron 8100 offers fieldbus interfaces compatible with PROFIBUS® PA, FOUNDATION fieldbusâ„¢ H1, and Modbus RTU protocols.

The Polytron 8100 boasts a Class I, Div. 1 rated explosion-proof enclosure constructed from either aluminium or stainless steel. The robust design ensures suitability for various environmental conditions. Furthermore, there is a protection type “e” version available, which includes a convenient docking station allowing installation in hazardous atmospheres without the need for conduit (where approved).
