Draeger PIR 7000

The Drager PIR 7000 is an explosion proof point infrared gas detector for continuous monitoring of flammable gases and vapours. With its stainless steel SS 316L enclosure and driftfree optics this detector is built for the harshest industrial environments, e.g. offshore installations.

The Draeger PIR 7000 is an explosion-proof, point infrared gas detector designed for continuous monitoring of flammable gases and vapors. Constructed with a robust stainless steel SS 316L enclosure and drift-free optics, this detector excels in the most challenging industrial environments, including offshore installations.

There are two available models of the Draeger PIR 7000: type 334 and type 340. Each model operates at a different measuring wavelength, providing a wide range of detectable substances with exceptional accuracy.

With advanced signal stability as its hallmark, the Draeger PIR 7000 builds upon the success of the world’s most stable point infrared gas detector, the Draeger Polytron IR. It incorporates groundbreaking patented innovations, featuring a maximum light collecting construction and a 4-beam signal stabilizing system. Unlike traditional light beam split designs, this detector employs a set of various reflectors in its optical system, ensuring excellent resistance to common influences such as dust, fog, insects, and dirt accumulation on the optical surfaces. Thanks to its non-imaging construction, the measuring signal remains unaffected even in the presence of partial beam blockages.
