The Draeger PIR 7000 is an explosion-proof, point infrared gas detector designed for continuous monitoring of flammable gases and vapors. Constructed with a robust stainless steel SS 316L enclosure and drift-free optics, this detector excels in the most challenging industrial environments, including offshore installations.
There are two available models of the Draeger PIR 7000: type 334 and type 340. Each model operates at a different measuring wavelength, providing a wide range of detectable substances with exceptional accuracy.

It incorporates groundbreaking patented innovations, featuring a maximum light collecting construction and a 4-beam signal stabilizing system. Unlike traditional light beam split designs, this detector employs a set of various reflectors in its optical system, ensuring excellent resistance to common influences such as dust, fog, insects, and dirt accumulation on the optical surfaces. Thanks to its non-imaging construction, the measuring signal remains unaffected even in the presence of partial beam blockages.
